About the Department
The Christian Education Department of Union Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church is committed to promoting spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and Christian discipleship for members of all ages. In alignment with the mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, the department exists to support the Christian training and development of our congregation, equipping believers to grow in faith and serve effectively in God's Kingdom.
Faith Formation
The primary responsibility of the Christian Education Department is to nurture the faith and discipleship of the members of Union Chapel. Through Church School, Bible study, devotionals, special educational programs, workshops, and ministry opportunities, we seek to provide guidance and development in the Christian way of life. We are committed to helping individuals deepen their relationship with Christ, strengthen their understanding of Scripture, and live out their faith in their daily lives.
Leadership Development
The Christian Education Department also focuses on developing leaders for the church and community. We encourage participation in youth, young adult, and adult ministries while providing opportunities for leadership training, spiritual growth, and service. Through mentoring, workshops, and ministry engagement, we seek to identify, nurture, and empower the spiritual gifts of our members so they may faithfully lead and serve within the church and beyond.
As Union Chapel continues to grow, the Christian Education Department remains dedicated to equipping disciples, strengthening families, and building leaders who are committed to advancing the mission of Jesus Christ.
